Take Two...

Poor B...woke up this a.m. with a yucky cough and I was convinced that I had to take him back to the Dr., as neurotic or not as that may seem. After trekking all over PHX for various errands and obligations in between his naps, running back to feed him lunch, and getting myself ready for the vendor fair this evening, I took him to the Dr. @ 1:30. After an all-clear report yesterday, he had an ear infection in the right ear today?! Go figure. She said that even though his chest is clear, the congestion I hear is the drainage from his ear. He's on Amoxicillan, and other than the cough, amazingly asymptomatic. She commented, "Has he been THIS happy ALL day?" as he sat on the exam table, crunching the paper sheet & dancing because he liked the noise...

His army crawl has now become a SERIOUS mode of transportation....no longer is it, roll, sit up, roll, army crawl, then roll back up, it's haul army crawl as fast as he can, as far as he can. He decided he needed his Mom's book today and wriggled his way to me as fast as he could, only for me to push the book away and he went crawling after it. I swear, I could watch him do it ALL day!

His other new trick is pulling himself up ~ went it to pick him up from nap #2 today, and he was standing up screaming to get out, holding bolding onto the side railing. HA! Needless to say, the mattress (lowered just 2 weeks ago) will be lowered another level as soon as he's not asleep in it!

I'll have to take a pix of him army crawling & post it, though it won't nearly do it justice!

To the Doc!

Good news on the health front for B ~ after a slightly concerning cough, the NP said that ears and chest were clear, no temp., so we're on the look-out for more, but it's prob. just a touch of a cold. NO worries and he was happy and squeaking all day, so I'm not worried about it!

The burning question w/ a Doc's visit, though, is always...what does he weigh in at?? Today he was 18 lbs., 9 oz., up from 16 lbs. 4 oz. on July 23rd...the boy is packing on weight! :) At that rate (averaging about 1 1/4 lbs./mo.), he should hit 20 lbs. by Oct. 24th, and be right around 22 lbs. at Christmas!

He and Daddy roughed it tonight while I was out at the EMERGE release...S said he just wanted to snuggle on his shoulder and passed out. :)

Doubled Up...

Luckily, I've only been bitten once by this new set of two that just popped in on the top, but B's teeth are shoving through like we cannot believe! Amazing to watch the little miracles that we never think about...like how our teeth actually get into our mouth!! HA ~ watching him chew on anything he can get his hands on, including chair rungs, mobiles, you name it, he chews it, I'm glad that the first mouthful is the worst and after that it's smooth sailing! :)

Tomorrow, B's week with his Gram comes to an end when she hops back on the 8 a.m. plane back East. Very sad. Watching them spend quality time together has been a joy ~ he laughs & giggles as his silly Gram sings him endless verses of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm", and reaches for her to give her hugs. SO sweet. What a sweet baby, and what a wonderful Gram!

The next two days will be a veritable whirlwind of meetings, activities and appointments. YIKES! I can't wait 'til the hectic lives we lead come to a semi-close on Thurs. and I'm home to put B to bed!

I will add our recent fav pix of B ~ hubbie refers to it as "the ninja pix"...just a random moment caught in the bath illustrative of B's funny personality & sense of humor! :) I love bath time!
